ScienceCEO Academy is one of the few Maths, Science and Technology Public Benefit Organization in South Africa.
The academy was conceptualised and began its activities in 2010, but officially established in 2015 in terms of the NPC Act 71 of 1997.
The principal aim of the Academy is to increase number of Matriculants who qualify to study degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); and to equip teachers with tools needed to teach mathematics and science subjects effectively. This is achieved through providing tutorials at Secondary School level focusing on helping under-resourced Schools, career guidance, teacher support, to implement e-learning programme at Schools and to equip educators with necessary technological tools to further develop their competency in delivery of the curriculum.
