Professional Bio
Dr Bongani Nkala is the Executive Director of ScienceCEO Academy and an accomplished academic with a PhD in Human Physiology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
At ScienceCEO Academy, he plays a strategic leadership role with a focus on monitoring and evaluation, cooperative governance, and identifying potential donors and funders to support the organisation’s programmes and long-term sustainability.
Dr Nkala is currently employed at Eduvos (formerly Pearson Institute of Higher Education) as an Internship Coordinator and Senior Lecturer. In recognition of his commitment to teaching excellence, he was voted Best Lecturer in the Faculty of Applied Science and received the Teacher Excellence Award in 2021.
He is deeply passionate about promoting science education and encouraging young people to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Through his academic and leadership roles, he continues to contribute to youth development, educational advancement, and community empowerment.
